My relationship with image-making started long before I did. My great-grandfather, Francesc Casañas i Riera (1890–1969), was one of the most important photographers in Sabadell in the early 20th century. He documented the city, its people, and its heritage. Today, his archive — over 8,600 glass plates— is preserved in the Historical Archive of Sabadell. His work is not only part of the city’s visual memory, but also a deep part of my family heritage.
At home, photography was always around. My father and uncle were passionate amateurs, always with a camera in hand. Family albums held a central place, and more than stories, the images spoke for themselves. That energy and love for capturing life naturally rubbed off on me.
While studying photography, a module dedicated to video completely changed my path. I fell in love with moving images and the way stories unfold through motion — I knew that was what I wanted to do.
I continued learning and did an internship at a small production company where we handled every part of the process. That hands-on experience helped me grow professionally, develop confidence, and understand the full scope of audiovisual work.
Eventually, I became a freelancer and landed my first clients. Later, I joined Macadamia Project, where we moved into higher-level productions.
Around the same time, I also collaborated with Ntorn Studio, working on live broadcasts — an experience that introduced me to the world of live events and real-time production.
Today, I’m the technical audiovisual lead and camera operator at We Are Fast, working on large-scale projects in advertising and fiction. I continue collaborating with Macadamia and also take on more personal projects like weddings, music videos, fashion content, and social media productions.
This journey —rooted in family legacy and enriched by diverse experiences — has allowed me to see the audiovisual world from many perspectives.
It’s what enables me to offer a complete, professional, and detail- oriented service with both passion and precision.
